The best way to keep up to date with Mildenhall Town F.C.

3 weeks ago By cliff langham

To say how pleased with the awesome turn out last night is an understatement, especially after the recent unexpected departures. It shows this is the club to be at if you want to improve and even take Mildenhall to the next level or go to the next level with other clubs.
Can I just list the ages of some of the players that played last year.
Goalkeepers, Sam Roach, 18, Jake Hallett 19, Jacob Marsden 20
Defenders, Jake Kerins 18, Joe Hood 20. Arran Smith 16, Joe Walker 18.
Midfielders, Jamie Smith 18, Jcs 19, Marcio 17, Matty Collins 19.
Forwards, Ben Nolan 16, Claudio 19, Kyle Huxtable 17.
Dylan Logan and Joe Bates are also under 20.
Last night we had 2 over 20 train and impress and as you all know I take my time signing players and this year will be no exception.
There should be an experienced signing after Saturdays training session. (proven winner) and many conversations are taking place. I'm sorry there will be some more 18 year olds coming in and will play pre-season. As one of my mentors said.
"What's the point of having experienced players if they are experienced at not being very good!" There are far too many experienced names that float about Non-League, earning big money that have actually not won anything and are actually not very good!
Remember when I was joint manager at Team Bury and manager at Haverhill and beat much more experienced Mildenhall Sides. Team Bury average age 17, Haverhill average age 19.(2nd in league with 2nd lowest budget).
We have already replaced 4 out of the 5 that have left and although I wish them well that chapter is closed.
Up the Hall!
